Bangladesh

The Zero Hunger Coalition has been working with partners in Bangladesh to identify the evidence-based interventions to operationalise the National Food and Nutrition Security Policy Plan of Action (2021-2030) and achieve its goals to:

  • End hunger
  • Make diets healthier and more affordable
  • Improve the productivity and incomes of small-scale producers
  • Mitigate and adapt to climate change.

Engagement pathways

The Zero Hunger Coalition participated in a workshop organized by the Bangladesh Ministry of Food and the GAIN to discuss the country’s food systems transformation.

The workshop brought together the Ministry of Food, international organizations, academia and NGOs, to review the progress towards the country’s draft Plan of Action (PoA) for its National Pathway Document. It also explored the use of foresight tools to develop scenarios to 'stress test' policies and strategies to make them more effective in the light of changing climates, challenging geopolitics, trade and tariff uncertainties
